PharmaCalc for Apple Macintosh

Hardware/software requirements

• processor: 68030 or faster
• system Mac OS 7.0.1 - 9.0 (exception: problems with Sys 7.5.2 on certain machines)
• min. 4MB of memory, better 8MB
• 3MB of free disk space

Instructions for downloading

1. Click on the line "Download PharmaCalc for Mac now" below.
   
2. The browser will download the file "PharmaCalc.sea.hqx". Upon completion the program "Stuffit Expander" will be started automatically in the background. Stuffit Expander will convert the file first into "PharmaCalc.sea", then it will uncompress and unpack all files and folders onto your desktop.
3. Exit your Web browser. A folder named "PharmaCalc" should now be visible on your desktop. If you only see the file "PharmaCalc.sea.hqx" you have to extract the files manually (ask for a copy of "Stuffit Expander", this program is freeware and does the job nicely). Open the "PharmaCalc" folder and verify that it contains the following items:
   • the file "readme first" which contains a quick introduction on how to run the program
   • the program PharmaCalc 1.0
   • the folder "DRUG.LIB" which contains the parameter files for over 70 substances
   • the file "Theory.doc" which describess the pharmacokinetic formula used by PharmaCalc (MS Word document)
4. Open the file "readme first" and read the instructions (three minutes max!).
